Sugar & spice & all things nice, that’s what little girls are made of! Slugs & snails & puppy dogs tails, that’s
what little boys are made of…
Or so the old rhyme goes! That said, whatever sex your baby turns out to be, both parents will be ecstatic and so of course will your family and friends.
If though you are of an impatient nature and couldn’t contain your excitement for the reveal on Labour Day, you may well have found out the sex of your baby at your 20 week scan. If this is the case you could have a bit of fun at your baby Shower with a ‘gender reveal’ game as a way of involving all your loved ones in the excitement of your impending arrival.
Need some inspiration, here’s a list of ideas we came up with…
1. Cutting the cake – to reveal either pink or blue sponge
2. Balloon in a box – open the box to reveal an “it’s a girl” or “it’s a boy” balloon
3. Ice Cubes – Pop miniature boy or girl doll inside your guests ice cube and see who gets the subtle clue first once it melts
4. Popping balloons – decorate the room with both pink and blue balloons and slowly remove/pop the wrong colour balloons so that all that remains at the end of the baby shower is the correct colour – Pink or Blue!
5. Bath bombs – Pop a few pink or blue bath bombs into your flower vases and dot them around the room and see if any of your friends pick up on the clue
